About Me

MyGen Profile Generator

The motor car is an icon of Australian life, and is inextricably linked to our national identity. It symbolises our dreams and aspirations, and speaks volumes about where we have come from and where we are going.

The National Motor Museum is Australia's largest automotive museum & is based in Birdwood just outside of Adelaide in South Australia. The museum provides a fascinating snapshot of Australian ingenuity and adventure, with more than 300 cars, trucks and motorcycles driven and ridden over the decades by Australians on display,. Discover the influences that have shaped style and design, and the technology that has contributed to power and speed.

The motoring and motor cycle pavilions are treasure troves of restored rarities; veteran, vintage and classic models; prized possessions on loan from motor clubs and members of the public – and out-and-out oddities.

Changing and evolving displays and exhibition spaces provide a moving feast of special theme collections. Hands on interactive stands let you build a Harley-Davidson bike and practice your road safety skills; or relive bygone eras with a visit to a 1920s garage, 1950s drive-in movie theatre and 1970s service station.

Whether its nostalgia for the past or a passion for 21st century capabilities – a day at the National Motor Museum has something to offer the whole family.
