As the weather warms up in Melbourne, the Summer Solos series comes alive providing smaller pubs and cafes with quality live acoustic music (sometimes electric) from some of this country's best performers. Summer Solos is designed to appeal to and promote a festive vibe within a diverse range of audiences usually with a beer (or coffee) in their hand. It provides a great opportunity for solo performers, new or experienced, to get heard.Melbourne is regarded internationally as a hub of live music exuberance and Summer Solos intends to further this glowing reputation.

If you're looking for somewhere to play or enjoy some cool new music, please get along to BAR OPEN, Brunswick St, Fitzroy every last Wednesday of the month for CACTUS! - A live showcase of alt.country / tex-mex / cowpunk / saloon blues / hootenanny.
