About Me

Pics by Richard Taylor
Sangeeta solo, just piano and voice, is direct, personal and haunting.
Sangeeta the band, is the fusing of female voice and piano, with the raw energy of bass, drums, and touches of flute. Clare Hopper plays drums and the flute and even plays them both together. Sam Astley is a multi instrumentalist with his focus in the band on bass and guitar.
The songs of Sangeeta have a strong emotional, spiritual and cathartic nature. Rolling drums, thunderous bass lines, melodic piano, commanding and heartfelt vocals… this is one enormous sound. It is primal, sensual, evocative and theatrical.
Then comes the beautiful moments, with evocative piano, crooning vocals and sensitive flute...but this seduction is the calm before a fire fueled storm.
Yes this sure is a rollercoaster ride, from beauty to intensity, transforming dark themes into an uplifting, triumphant force.

Affirmation: I am changing my nature:letting go of my negative temptations, selfishness, envy, anger and self-pity.Goodbye.My vessel expands as I embrace love and Light, creating more room for positive energy. An opening in my soul, more space, as I accept that change is possible.More Light and love as I feel the shift beginning to take hold.I have created the space for a miracle.
