Total acoustophile!!!NB: I had a much more eleborate description for this section, but as MR, technical difficulties have been rife! F*cker! I had a real sweet freestyle rap po(U)oring out of me, full of juicy nuggets of life's gemlike jelly & I lost it all! Boogger.Oh well Best stop here i s'pose...Suffice to say, I like any music done well.I had also listed the various instruments I've learned throughout my life (which by no means means I can play them at this particular point) but I really can't be bothered to type em all up again. Let's focus on the latest- but most enduring desire, since I was a wee tot.... drumroll please! :-P
Again, the theme of me & my interests in general is that they are, generally speaking, general. Yes I must admit, I have a taste for the mainstream, at least a pretty good feeling on how publicly viable the pliable taste of the public can be.From action-packed extravaganza to moody, epic art films & all the various different shades in between. My Dad's nickname is Corny. We are a Corny family! Can't help lettin the cheese squeeze out now & then. My pack rat characteristics extend to a great love for all things cheesy (but no blue vein for me please!)I grew up around film sets, so I guess I learnt alot through early osmosis.
Don't have one in my new home THANK GOD!!!Recovering addict.**Have to admit I've been jacking up since being back in Londontown--- once a Countdown fanatic, always a Countdown fanatic! (Even w/o Richard, rest his soul...) of course Buck, we all love Suzie! ;-p
I own an extensive library which I've stocked in sporadic rather large chunks through various book clubs & hours of perusing book stores. (A bit like record stores I've surprisingly only recently discovered...)My most regretfully anticipated question when someone 1st views my library is "Have you read them all?"Ouch.Well they are predominantly reference books & various other texts one might not normally read for pleasure.... so I haven't. But if I need to check something... I use the internet. But we must not lose the beauty of the book. Perhaps not many more should be printed (it is such a waste of tree's resources) but they will come to be a valuable & rare commodity... I guess they already are in many places. They certainly are to me!My answer is always, no, but I intend to... (depending on the reaction, I might add, I have read most of the novels) If this sounds practiced it's because it's exactly what inevitably comes out of a visitor's mouth!
When I was young when people asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up, my answer would usually be the next Sir David Attenborough....when I was young my mum wrote this poem for me & she used to recite it softly some nights when I needed to be calmed from fright. When I was young I used to see Most things from my Mummy Tree My Mummy Tree was strong & tall & would not ever let me fall. Sometimes I'd be down on the ground, the world would pass me by; I'd hug my Mummy's knees so tight And then I'd start to cry! my Mummy's arms would lift me up And swoop me to the sky. The world was wonderful from there, so then I'd start to sigh...I wrote her a reply for her 40th (I think?) but I don't know it by rote.... check back..
