I'm bringin' sulky back

About Me

I write the songs that make the whole world sing. I write the songs of love and special ... no wait that's not me... that's Barry Manilow. Well I do write songs though. and maybe they don't make the whole world sing, but I know that I have made at least one young girl cry.. and not just because her cat had recently died. I am very proud of the songs that I have written, but as for my bio... well it's nothing special. Put simply... I write songs. When pressed for a description of my songs, my response is often 'suburban-folk'. I write songs about the little things and the bigger things. I write about life. I write about planes and jumping out of them. I write about small seeds. I write about tall trees. I write about standing on bindi and sleeping on clover. I write about clouds and raincoats and rainy days. I write about trams. I write about trains. I write about walking shoes. I write about Dr Suess novels and the fear of using public toilets. I write about inventors and explorers and that old t-shirt of yours that you just can't bring yourself to throw away... I'm always looking for a new point of view and a new song to write. I record these songs in the hope that people will enjoy listening to them as much as I enjoy writing them. Well I think that covers it.

JAPAN TOUR DIARY - DAY 4 - 28/03/08

Well my struggle to find food that I like seems to have come to an end - for this trip anyway. I’ve found a great little bakery nearby with a fine assortment of sweet and savoury delights. Mostl...

JAPAN TOUR DIARY - DAY 3 - 27/03/08

I had given myself until 9am to decide whether I..d be alright to play at the conference. Naturally I was very anxious to see whether the Shippu patches had helped at all. At around 8:30am I got out o...

JAPAN TOUR DIARY - DAY 2 - 26/03/08

JAPAN TOUR DIARY - DAY 10 FEBRUARY 22ND 2008

Following the adventure that was Misfits Nagoya, I woke on a futon bed in the spare room in Brian and Sarah's home. I was surprised that anyone in Japan had a 'spare' room as I had heard stories of en...
