Dana was born in the heart of the Big Easy, New Orleans,
Louisiana. Her sound is just as easy on the soul, yet passionate
to the heart, fresh and moving. Her influences include but are not
limited to Patti Austin, Barbara Streisand, and Nancy Wilson. Dana has perfected her craft through years of performing through Southern
California and her home town New Orleans. Jazz is the genre Dana was meant to sing. She has worked with, Wilton Felder of The Crusaders, Darrell Crooks currently of the Commodores, Andre Manga composer, arranger and virtuoso bassist, jazz violinist Michael Ward and many others.
Dana's current project one year in the making "Just Me" had its
debut in Early 2005. It features a blend of jazz, a mix of r&b,
and a twist of soul. With most of the songs produced and co-written by jazz saxophonist, producer and composer Derrick Edmondson.
This year Dana had the privileged of co-writing and singing on the much anticipated Nigerian Movie 30 Days starring Genevieve Nnaji (www.30daysthemovie.com) with jazz bassist and composer Andre Manga.Dana is an up and coming new vocalist with a distinctive style. (Wilton Felder)
