THEY SAY:
"Kwanza Jones is an urban Janis Joplin..." "she could be a female Prince, so to speak... she is a powerhouse!" "She has fire and energy, she is a 'True Talent '" "Kwanza Jones blends her natural music with other influences and experiences in a way that comes across as heart-felt as well as pleasurable." "She is a cross between Tina Turner and Alanis Morrisette with a touch of Norah Jones." "After watching Kwanza you won't need caffeine. Her boundless energy in undeniable; it is contagious."
I SAY:
My music is soulful but it's not soul. It rocks but it's not rock... It's universal. I create. I live. I challenge. I defy. I'd rather write a song than write anything about myself. My inspiration comes from experiences, so I can't sit still for long. I can be stubborn but I really am a sweetheart; ask anyone who knows me. Musically and otherwise, I have a precise vision of what I want and am committed to realizing that vision. My background and interests are as diverse as my music. For example, I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro (the highest mountain in Africa). During that trek, I wrote a song a day. If you want to know more, go to my website: www.kwanzajones.com.

001. Morocco on my mind

You know when you have soooo much sh*t to do that you don't know where to begin. So you end up giving what you know is the most important thing the least priority. That's how it is with me and packing...
