Influences: 8VB's influences range from Weather Report to Hermeto Pascoal. The Bruno Migliari Trio is influenced by other contemporary jazz groups, such as Avishai Cohen's trio, the Christian McBride Band and the Pat Metheny Trio. 11 Cabeças follows the tradition of brazillian big bands of the 60's and 70's, but with a new, funky twist. We're influenced by Moacir Santos, Tom Jobim and Gil Evans. Mizifios owes big to Prince, Frank Zappa, The Beatles and Os Mutantes. And Weather Forecast… well, it's a tribute band, wright? It sounds like four skilled brazilian musicians (we like to think so…) playing the music of their favorite group, Weather Report!
Sounds Like: You've got to listen to the music to draw your own conclusions... watch those videos for a taste:

The authorial project 8VB:

the Bruno Migliari Trio is a jazz outlet dedicated to exploring compositions of jazz greats of my (and of my friends') liking, as well as some of my own device:

Of course, Weather Forecast sounds as close to Weather Report as we can manage to - before becoming a "cover band"…

Mizifios is a very creative pop band from Rio de Janeiro in wich all members sang lead - to each it's own! Check it out:

Orquestra Popular is a brazilian Big Band led by saxofonist AC in wich I play bass, act as rythm session leader and occasionally write arrangements:
