H56

O H56 pode ser um grupo novo no caldeirão borbulhante das novas bandas que pipocam Brasil afora neste começo de século XXI, mas é verdade também que a banda já começa com uma história que não pode ser ignorada. Entre os seus integrantes encontramos o guitarrista Jorge Shy e o baterista Alfredo Dias Gomes, ambos da formação original do Heróis da Resistência, uma das bandas de maior sucesso na década de 80, reconhecida pela explosão musical do rock brasileiro e que uniu quantidade e qualidade nos toca-discos daquela época. Liderado pelo fundador do grupo, Leoni, o grupo lançou três discos pela WEA em uma carreira curta, mas de muito sucesso e reconhecimento por parte da crítica e do público. O H56, que tem o nome inspirado no famoso avião da Força Aérea Brasileira (FAB) – o Hércules 56 – é completado na sua formação pelo vocalista Brenno Bali e pelo baixista Marcos Fló. O grupo traz de volta ao mercado fonográfico, pontuado por diversas citações oitentistas, um pop-rock de qualidade que agrada a todos os públicos como nas faixas “O Jogador” e “Turista Acidental”. O CD de estréia, em função de toda a bagagem dos seus integrantes, apresenta influência do funk moderno, aliado ao rock, soul e até mesmo ao jazz, em riffs e levadas contagiantes. O CD apresenta 12 faixas, sendo 10 inéditas e duas regravações, uma destas a faixa “Doublé de Corpo” um grande sucesso dos Heróis da Resistência nos anos 80, que conta com a participação de Leoni nos vocais. Lulu Martin, tecladista original do Heróis, também participa nas faixas “Inevitável” e "Presença Feminina", significando um breve retorno da formação original do grupo como uma forma de comemorar os 20 anos dos Heróis, completados em 2006.

The H56 could be described as one of the new bands that are pointing out in the enthusiastic “New Brazilian pop scene”, at the beginning of the XXI century, but it is in fact, true that this band starts already with a story that can not be forgotten. Among their members we have the guitarist “Jorge Shy” and the drummer “Alfredo Dias Gomes”, they were both original members of the famous Brazilian pop band “Heróis da Resistencia”, that smashed a few hits during the 80..s.Leaded by Leoni , the group released 3 albums by Warner in Brazil and a short career , but within a lot of success and recognition of both public and media . The H56 has its name inspired in the famous cargo air craft, still in use nowadays by the Brazilian air force, “The Hercules 56”. The Band is joined by the singer “Brenno Bali” and bassist Marcos “Fló”, both part of a young generation of talented musicians .The group brings back to the music market, some of the “old 80..s school” mixed up with some very sophisticated and modern “Brazilian Funk” sort to speak, as we can recall on the tracks “Jogador” and “Turista Acidental”. The debut CD, due to the versatility of their members, presents some interesting fusion of styles like: funk, soul, jazz and rock.The CD has 12 tracks , being 10 originals and 2 re- makes borrowed from the “Heróis da Resistencia’s” period, “Double de Corpo” a big hit during the 80..s has its new version a little more “edgy”, finessing its sound without smoothing out the rough, and with the very special participation of Leoni in the vocals . Lulu Martin, the original keyboard player of the “Heróis”, was invited also to perform this “cool” piano solo on the tracks “Inevitável” and keyboards in "Presença Feminina", meaning a brief but effective reunion of the original band, even if it’s just to celebrate and honor the 20th anniversary of the “Heróis da Resistencia”, completed in 2006.
