LULU MARTIN

Lulu Martin lives in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil and works as a pianist e keyboard player. His father was a jazz music lover and an amateur pianist. Jazz was the natural music listened in the house. Once his father retired from the Navy, he decided to take his family to live in Boston, where he had lived before when attended to MIT to study mechanical engineering. After graduating from Wellesley Senior High School, Lulu Martin went to Berklee College of Music for a Diploma degree. http://www.berklee.edu/bt/141/alumnotes.htmlAfter that he came back to Brasil and started his professional life meeting people and local musicians. He played in different groups of instrumental music and worked around backing up brasilian singers and composers. He did composed music for TV commercials, wrote music for kids, and played in all kinds of gigs as a sideman. In the last years he has played mostly with the Rio Jazz Orchestra once they were hired as musicians to represent a local university. He went back to school and got a degree in General Administration.
