Fernando Vidal é simplesmente o rei do “groove” no cenário musical brasileiro. O guitarrista, compositor e produtor musical já colocou todo o seu “swing” ao dispor de Ed Motta, Fernanda Abreu, Zélia Duncan e Marina Lima, dentre uma incontável lista de artistas e CDs gravados, fazendo shows no Brasil e no exterior, e agora os exibirá em sua carreira solo.
“Funk Van” registra todo o amor e talento de Fernando Vidal à serviço do groove. Com suas levadas de funk e harmonias sofisticadas, que remetem à sua admiração por grandes músicos do gênero americano como Hiram Bulock e John Scofield, Fernando acrescenta seu groove brasileiro a explosão de suas texturas hendrixianas, outra grande referência em seu trabalho.
Acompanhado dos renomados Mac Willian na bateria e André Carneiro no baixo, Fernando Vidal está inaugurando a Blues Time +, uma divisão da Blues Time Records que privilegiará a boa música, devidamente representada aqui por sua “Funk Van”.

Fernando Vidal is simply the king of the "groove" on the Brazilian music scene. The guitarist, composer and music producer has put all his "swing" to work for Ed Motta, Fernanda Abreu, Zélia Duncan and Marina Lima, among a huge list of artists and CDs recorded, doing concerts in Brazil and around the world.
Now he displays his groove on his solo career releasing "Funk Van", a demonstration of Fernando’s love and talent on the service of the groove. With his funk grooves and sophisticated harmonies, showing his admiration for great musicians of the genre as Hiram Bulock and John Scofield, Fernando adds his Brazilian groove to the explosion of his Hendrix textures, another great reference on his work.
On his trio, Fernando has the renowned brazilian drummer Mac Willian and session bass player André Carneiro on his side. Fernando Vidal is the first artist on Blues Time +, a division of the brazilian label Blues Time Records that focus on good music, fully represented here by his "Van Funk."
