About Me

I am the author of the critically acclaimed suspense thriller DEVIL'S BREW , which was compared by one reviewer to the work of legendary master storyteller Alistair MacLean.
". . . written in the legacy of that master of suspense, Alistair MacLean. Keith Spence has inherited the magic." (see complete review below)
My next book is entitled THE BLOOD OF SAINTS and is scheduled for release in late 2007. THE BLOOD OF SAINTS is a political thriller with a plot ripped from recent headlines. More about the book will be posted in the next few weeks.
Posted below you will find some of the rave reviews I received for DEVIL'S BREW .
"Devil's Brew is the debut novel of Keith Spence and presents the reader with a deadly thrill ride of a read. Devil's Brew is about a CIA agent facing a life sentence for murder - unless he helps them locate a missing operative, who happens to be the woman he loved but could not marry. Filled with twists and turns, betrayal, intrigue, double-dealing and high-stakes action, Devil's Brew is a compelling spy story that turns leisure reading into pure excitement!" - Midwest Book Review
"As the author of two novels, I have to commend Keith Spence for Devil's Brew. This action-packed thriller contains all the elements necessary to carry this genre and Spence hit it right on the head. David Jourbet, the larger than life hero who's riddled with personal issues, makes a great point-of-view character. Devil's Brew is filled with an interesting supporting cast: corrupt CIA officials, nasty villains, and a mysterious romantic interest, along with a surprise ending, making Devil's Brew an entertaining read." - Jeff Pate, bestselling author of the Clark Hager mystery series
"A gripping story without a moment of marking time. Well researched, entertaining and absolutely consuming. Written in the legacy of that master of suspense Alistair MacLean; Keith Spence has inherited the magic." - Alexander Honeywell, magicquill.com
"This action-packed thriller never slows down until the final twist occurs. The story line is 200 proof action with an intriguing look at profiling and the subtly of terrorism. Fans of spy vs. spy thrillers with the lives of innocents at stake will want to drink DEVIL’S BREW in one big gulp." - Harriet Klausner, BarnesandNoble.com
In my spare time (okay, full time), I work as a legal investigator for one of Eastern North Carolina's largest personal injury law firms, Whitley, Rodgman & Whitley. I specialize in auto and 18-wheeler accidents and often use my expertise in my writing.
And, oh yes, all you NICHOLAS SPARKS fans. I live just 30 minutes away from the great man himself, although we don't seem to travel in the same circles.
