A professional freelance Trumpet playerworking in London, I am married to Ann Morfeea Violinist and have two children Thomas 7 andEmma 4. I studied at Trinity College of MusicLondon and was awarded the Jon Kelly JazzScholarship.I went on to be a featured soloist of theGlenn Miller Orchestra UK for seven years.Since then I have performed and recorded avery wide range of musical styles with manyvaried orchestras, ensembles, artists andGroups.These include Robbie Williams, Eric Clapton,The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, QuincyJones, The Spice Girls, Oasis, The BBC ConcertOrchestra, Michel Le Grand, Tony Bennett,TheCity of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, WelshNational Opera Orchestra, Toots Thielmans,Marty Paich, Johnny Mathis, The Michael NymanBand, Michael Ball, Shirley Bassey, The RoyalLiverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, MichaelCrawford, The Scottish National Orchestra,Lionel Richie, Belle and Sebastian, The LondonPhilharmonic Orchestra, Danny Elfman, The SydLawrence Orchestra, The Royal Ballet Sinfonia,the London Sinfonietta, The Halle Orchestra,The BBC Symphony Orchestra, London Brass, HansZimmer, Joby Talbot, The Orchestra of theRoyal Opera House Covent Garden, and the BBCBig Band.I have been a principal trumpet player in manyLondon West End musical productions includingJesus Christ Superstar, Saturday Night Feverand My Fair Lady. I play lead trumpet in theGrammy nominated John Wilson Orchestra, Backto Basie Big Band, The Jay Craig Orchestra andam professor of trumpet at Trinity College ofMusic London. More recently have become amember of the new brass ensemble Superbrass.I have played on many movie soundtracksincluding the James Bond films ‘Tomorrow NeverDies’ and ‘Die Another Day.’ Othersinclude ‘Chicago,’ lead trumpet on the BobbyDarin Biopic ‘Beyond the Sea’ with KevinSpacey nominated for a Grammy, ‘Charlie andthe Chocolate Factory’, the DreamWorksanimated film ‘Madagascar’, and TimBurton’s ‘The Corpse Bride’ My solo trumpetand Cornet is featured in the George Fentonscore for ‘Mrs Henderson Presents.’In 1999 I accompanied Jessye Norman as trumpetsoloist alongside Ron Carter and Grady Tateplaying the Sacred music of ‘the Duke.’ Sincethen, this collaboration with Ms Norman hascontinued with a duo appearance at the Tategallery in London in 2004, the Nice JazzFestival, and the Schleswig Festival Germanyin 2005. Last year- 2006,I appeared as trumpetsoloist with Ms Norman at the Gstaad MenhuinFestival and Peralada Festival Spain.This summer has seen me performing at the Lucerne Festival with the Lucerne Festival orchestra's Brass Ensemble with Rheinhold Friedrich, the BBC Proms with Sir John Dankworth and Dame Cleo Laine and also at the Cap Roig Festival in Spain with Jessye Norman.
