percussionist

About Me

I'm a percussionist working professionally. Musics my love. Constantly listening and studying many different musical styles such as jazz and classical, I specialise in hand drumming from the south americas, middle east and north africa covering a wide knowledge of musical styles.
You can imagine playing percussion gives opportunity to perform in many musical styles and situations as there are so many instruments to explore. Working with many fantastic musicians I learn everyday, gain experience and improve my playing. Its difficult to pin point a particular style that I favour, as enjoy being a versatile percussionist who has the ability to cope when thrown into any musical situation.
Stylistically I’ve worked in various musical arenas ranging from commercial to orchestral to jazz to theatre to folk to studio (not in any particular order.)
West End Theatre/National Theatre/Shakespeares Globe includes Monty Pythons Spamalot (currently performing,) The Producers, Anything Goes, The Full Monty, The Beautiful Game, Cyrano de Bergerac, Luther, Villains Opera, Pericles and We the People.
Orchestral includes performing ‘Over the Stone’ Karl Jenkins with English Chamber Orchestra, 'Anatomica3' Rambert Dance Company, various ballets with English National Ballet, various film/soundtrack scores with the Philharmonia Orchestra.
Commercial/Jazz/World includes Hkippers Band, First Light, Hans Kollers New Memories, Voxtet, Mo Foster Band, Katina Kangaris, Saladins Orchestra, Dufay Collective, Bardos Band, Mukka, Mediva, Concenantes, Electra Strings, Slimman and Bonafide, Three week journey in Tibet with Joseph Fiennes/David Gothard exploring music and language through Shakespeares ‘Hamlet’.
