Historical Drama; WW2 Movies; Classics; Martial Arts Films - especially Golden Harvest and Shaw Bros.; Anything by Kurosawa; Horror Movies, the bloodier the better; Westerns - yeah you heard me varmint!; Sci-Fi; Fantasy; good witty comedy...and some real lowbrow stuff with plenty of scatalogical humour... Any clever art-house movies...like Amelie; Documentaries...real ones...you hear that Michael Moore you fat, lying bastard?!?!?I can tell you what I don't like....Any post-modern crap with weak-kneed soulless nebbishy protagonists that can't solve any of their own problems and whimper and whine for 90-120 minutes. Chunder. And as a postscript, any movies that are made by moviemakers who think they are more clever than they are, and are really no better than they should be. *wink*
One of my big vices... I routinely watch The Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, Star Trek in all of its incarnations, The Daily Show for my true news and the other news channels for fiction, History Channel, Space Channel, Teletoon, Food Network - cuz I shoulda been the Thirsty Traveller! Comedy Network, CBC, and *drum roll* as little of the so-called reality TV as possible...except The Surreal Life on occasion *wink* This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Rick Mercer's Monday Report, used to watch Beat the Geeks, The Man Show, and Gutterball Alley when they still were new, Father Ted (DRINK!FECK!ARSE!GIRLS!), Guilty TV Admissions: Yes I used to watch wrestling...and Sex In The City (yeah I know that's odd for a guy...I used to room with brother and his wife and she watched it and I kinda got hooked...could be worse I suppose) Childhood TV Memories: The Muppet Show, Space 1999, The Dukes of Hazard (Woo hoo Daisy!), damn thing nearly raised me....this list could get too long.
