He started to playing drums at the age of 8, after his dad bought him a drum set for his birthday present. He was born in Makassar, Indonesia in 1982, and grew up in Jakarta City, and luckily he was raised in a musical family background.

After playing a lot, finally he decided to study and serious in music. In year 2000, he entry the Institut Musik Daya in Jakarta, Indonesia to learn more about Jazz & Contemporary music. There, he learn a lot from Deviana Daudsjah, Aksan Sjuman, Carola Grey, Guenter Weiss, Karoline Hoeffler and Peter Scherr.

After years, he started to performs with many local & International musicians, also start composing, teaching, recordings, and perform a lot in many International Jazz festival in Indonesia.

Now he currently live in Groningen, Netherlands. There, he start a new life as a musician / student, and study with Ralph Peterson Jr, Steve Altenberg, Joost Van Schaik and get lesson from Gene Jackson, Owen Hart Jr and Ari Honig. And also in the PCC school he study with many great NY cats like David Berkman, Alex Sipiagin, Joris Teepe, Freddie Bryant, Don Braden, Mark Gross, Kurt Weiss, Dena DeRose and Bryan Lynch.
