I was born 6.2.1987 in Kranj, Slovenia. I started to play by the age of three. I visited a nice village music school, and during my primary school I started to play in some rock-pop bands. In my high school years I became more and more interested in music; along with classical grammar school (St. Stanislav Institution) I visited High school of Music Ljubljana and after four years of study graduated both. I decided to go to Prince-Claus Conservatorium(Groningen, Holland).Since my piano studying in Ljubljana wasn't of a big interest for me I started to write music. I did several projects of original music with my trio (violin-cello-voice) called K4 and my friend poet Eva (the music was based on poems a lot). In Holland I started with a new project (Katarchestra) arranging folk melodies for 7-8 piece band. Since September 2005 I'm playing in big band Stageband, in December 2005 we started with Suna quintet (trying to mix balkan/easteren music with jazz), in February 2006 we began with Kristijan Krajncan Contemporary Jazz Ensamble, a group leaded by a great drummer and very inovative composer. In March and April I toured Germany, Portugal, Slovenia, Belgium and Croatia with an international big band called European Movement Orchestra and contemporary classical ensemble Ensemble 07. Recently I wrote a concert for accordion and orchestra in three movements based on a story of Orpheus and Euridice performed by Janez Dovc and Slovenian philharmonic orchestra in May 2007. In August 2006 I won 2nd prize jury award and 1st prize audience award for composition Mr. Falajk. ............................................................ ...................................................
