TB is an up-and-coming jazz musician from Berlin, Germany. Born on January 8 1984, he took up the drums at the age of five and has subsequently been studying under the guideance of jazz masters such as Keith Copeland, Ari Hoenig, John Riley and John Hollenbeck.
Although deeply rooted in the jazz tradition, TB's style also incorporates elements of computer-based groove music such as drum'n'bass, jungle or house, free improvised music and a wide variety of ethnic percussion traditions. Musical open-mindedness and the constant search for new sounds and means of expression are two of the most important factors of his playing.
In spite of his young age, TB has already performed at clubs and festivals across the globe with such diverse artists as Torsten de Winkel, Tony Lakatos, Carlos Bica, Martin Gjakonovski, Orlando LeFleming, Gwilym Simcock, Bob Mintzer, Herb Geller, Norbert Scholly, Nils Landgren, Jiggs Whigham, Bob Degen or Ack van Rooyen.
