About Me

Born in Ferrara, Italy, 1982. With an early interest in jazz, he takes his first clarinet and saxophone lessons in Ferrara. He attends workshops held by Steve Lacy (1998) and Andy Sheppard (2000). He attends the “Seminari senesi di Musica Jazz” (2-weeks international master classes in Siena, Italy) in 2000, 2001 e 2004. After the 2001 edition he has been granted a scholarship for the 13th IASJ (International Association of Schools of Jazz) meeting in Helsinki (2002).
He plays with Enrico Rava's “Under 21” quintet between 2004 and 2005.
He has been working for the internet jazz review All About Jazz – Italy (italia.allaboutjazz.com) as a writer.
He has played in Italy, France, Germany, Slovenia, Finland, Denmark.

He's a member of El Gallo Rojo (www.elgallorojorecords.com) label/collective. His projects include Headless Cat, Osmiza, Houdini's Cage, El Gallo Rojo double quartet, Rootless, Nimoy. He currently works with Shtik, Gianluca Petrella Cosmic Music Orchestra, Orange Room, Giulio Corini Libero Motu, Hatzel, Kibalcic, Francesco Diodati Neko, Orchestra Vertical, among others.
