Sergii was born in Kiev, Ukraine. His father (guitar player) was the first guide in the musical world. When he was five he started to play the violin.
Later (15 years old) he started to learn how to play drums and found out for himself some new styles of modern music such as rock and pop. But jazz impressed him the most and he became the student of Kiev Glier Music College. He used to study with M.Malishev and A.Fantaev. He had taken part in such jazz festivals as “Saulkrasti Jazz†Latvia (2003,2004), “Jazz Koktebel†Crimea (2003-2005) and represented Ukraine on the 15th IASJ Jazz Meetings in Krakow, Poland (2005).
In 2006 he started playing with salsa band Dislocados.
Now he is continuing his studying in Prince Clause Conservatoire in Groningen, the Netherlands with Joost van Schaik, Steve Altenberg and Ralph Peterson.
