Lead by Ilya Yeresko, with - among others -Dennis Adu, they started playing in one of Kyiv's best live music bars, Art Club 44, every Sunday.Soon after performing at the Koktebel Jazz Festival in Crimea, one of the best jazz festivals in the CIS, in the fall of 2006, the Salsa Kings were soon joined by Karolina Patocki and Lesya Zdorovetskaya, which finalized the vocal flavour of the band. Their winter schedule soon quadrupled by playing regularly at Caribbean Club and Maydan. After a few changes, departures from and additions to the band, the Kiev Salsa Kings became disLOCAdos.This name represents a new era in the band, with a refreshed direction, new balance, and the beginnings of original compositions. DisLOCAdos, literally translated as "dislocated", plays on the crazy personality of the band, and the idea that the birth country of most of the musicians does not necessarily dictate their musical direction and expertise.disLOCAdos is the FIRST SPANISH-SINGING SALSA BAND of the former SOVIET UNION, and is proud to have made history with the first original Spanish salsa recordings in the region!
