Ilya Yeresko is one of the most respected jazz pianists and arrangers in Ukraine. He's widely known not only for his solos, interpretations and performances on piano, keyboard, and organ in such bands such as Skhid Side, but also for his work as a composer and arranger for many projects, including the Ovsianikoff/Yeresko Friendly Fired project, and Ukraine's first and best salsa band, disLOCAdos. Ilya started playing piano as a child, and continued by finishing Kyiv Glier Musical College in 2001, studying jazz piano and composition. He then continued performing in Kyiv with his numerous jazz projects, playing in Skhid Side, and the Goetz Gruenberg Quartet. He played with musicians and groups such as Francois Jeanneau, Randy Brecker, Valfredo de los Reyes Jr., and Gabin. Playing around Europe in Moscow, London, Vilnius, and many cities around Ukraine, he also appears in jazz festivals, such as the Koktebel Jazz Festival, and others.
