Eddie Palmieri, a giant in Latin music and Jazz for over 50 years, has recorded over 30 albums, including more than 200 songs and has received 9 Grammy Awards, including the Grammy for the Best Latin Jazz Album of 2006 for Listen Here! And most recently Best Latin Jazz Album of 2007 Grammy for the Simpatico! collaboration with Brian Lynch.Popularly recognized as “The Sun of Latin Music”, Eddie has been a prolific writer, arranger, composer, and band leader contributing immeasurably to the music and culture of the Caribbean and New York City.Eddie is an innovator that has successfully fused the sounds of his Latino heritage with Jazz, R&B, Classical, Hip Hop, and Rock, earning international acclaim while establishing himself as one of the few truly timeless musicians in musical history.
