The members are from different cultural backgrounds and countries: Tunisia, Morocco, Israel, France, Cuba, Italy, Lebanon, and the US, representing a genuine fusion of traditions and inspirations geared towards better understanding and world peace.
Atlas Soul sings in Arabic, Spanish, Italian, Hebrew, French and English, making it not only a truly World Music band, but probably one of the only group of this kind currently residing in the U.S. Their lyrics speak of love, natural wonders, oppression, poverty, and of the melancholy of immigrants longing for their homelands.
The bands music incorporates many styles: Jazz, Rai, Funk, Shaabi,
D&B, Gnawa, West African Highlife, Afro-Beat, Socca, Reggae, Samba,
and Rock which might seems ambitious but come to them very naturaly.
