This version of Koumouyanass (let’s get up) was recorded live with a small mini-disk-no mixing- in a reherseal room at Berklee (Boston) featuring Walid Zairi on bass, Lucas Leto on drums, Jon Simons on trombone, Alan Perez on percussions and me on guitar.
On Shaabi Gamelan I basically play and loop the bass line, percussions (or sometime a drum machine), & guitar on my looper (RC-20 Boss pedal) then solo over it with my sax or guitar...everything is first take so it stay real and spontaneous.
