About Me

This song summarizes my life:
May the sacred vibrations of the divine name of Ram wash away all samskaras and vasanas and bestow the timeless eternal bliss of jivanmukti
We are one consciousness existing eternally in bliss, witnessing the play of energy that is us.
Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti! Suryakant is my spiritual name. I'm a 50 year old married guy who's got more interests than can be listed here -- typical Gemini! I enjoy sharing stories about spiritual experiences, especially stories involving bhakti and devotion. Jai Ram!
The meaning of life is opportunity for realization. Persistence of form is an illusion.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama has said that having prayers on your computer works the same as a traditional prayer wheel. As the computer's hard disk spins thousands of times per hour, it sends out your prayer's energy to all directions and to all beings.
With that in mind, I offer the Divine Name, Ram, in the following electronic prayer wheel, for the spiritual liberation of all beings...
May every revolution of every computer disk drive upon which the following 108 repetitions of Ram are stored radiate the infinite spiritual blessings of the Divine Name to all beings and thereby cause the spiritual liberation of all beings.

Here are two beautiful devotional songs from the Sikh tradition...

"People do not know what the Name of God can do. Those who repeat it constantly alone know its power. It can purify our mind completely... The Name can take us to the summit of spiritual experience." --- Swami Ramdas

In July 2006, I played Pompey in William Shakespeare's comedy, "Measure for Measure", with The Town Cow Theater Company of Concord, Massachusetts -- it was the first time I've ever performed in a Shakespearean play. Here's a sample, captured on a low-quality "recyclable" pocket-size video camera. I'm the guy in the puffy white shirt and long brown vest. The audio is pretty good.

On March 17, 2007, Friends Of the Performing Arts in Concord (FOPAC), 51 Walden Street, Concord, Massachusetts, presented a concert performance of Gilbert and Sullivan's "The Pirates of Penzance". The performance was a collaboration of The Concord Band, The Concord Orchestra, and The Concord Players, to raise funds for stage renovations at FOPAC's 51 Walden Street theater. This video excerpt from the performance begins with the song "I Am The Very Model Of A Modern Major General" performed by yours truly, who played Major General Stanley. The video then continues through to the Finale of Act One.

I'd like to meet:

Other rays of the Sun!

You Are a Dreaming Soul
Your vivid emotions and imagination takes you away from this world
So much so that you tend to live in your head most of the time
You have great dreams and ambitions that could be the envy of all...
But for you, following through with your dreams is a bit difficult

You are charming, endearing, and people tend to love you.
Forgiving and tolerant, you see the world through rose colored glasses.
Underneath it all, you have a ton of passion that you hide from others.
Always hopeful, you tend to expect positive outcomes in your life.

Souls you are most compatible with: Newborn Soul, Prophet Soul, and Traveler Soul What Kind of Soul Are You?

I wrote the following song to express the bhakti in my spiritual heart ...

To the tune of Simon and Garfunkel's song,
"For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her":

For Ram, Whenever I May Find Him

What a dream I had
Dressed in organ things
Clothed in DNA
Of quarky superstrings

Lost here in the brain

I wandered astral streets
Down
Past the thought-displays

I heard Your kirtan tell
Stories of Ayodhya days

As I walked on

And when You ran to me
Your
Feet-dust blessed my life

We walked on flowered fields
With Hanuman at Your right

I held Your hand

And when I awake
And see You warm and near

I'll kiss Your holy hands
With my grateful tears

Oh, I love You, Ram

Ohhhhh
I
Love
You

Your Life Path Number is 11
Your purpose in life is to inspire others

Your amazing energy draws people to you, and you give them great insight in return.
You hold a great amount of power over others, without even trying.
You have the makings of an inventor, artist, religious leader, or prophet.

In love, you are sensitive and passionate. You connect with your partner on a very deep level.

You have great abilities, but you are often way too critical of yourself.
You don't fit in - and instead of celebrating your differences, you dwell on them.
You have high expectations of yourself. But sometimes you set them too high and don't achieve anything. What Is Your Life Path Number?
