About Me

Hello my name is DJ Nix and i have a slot on a local internet radio station. i also juggle 5 other part time jobs and organising local fm stuff in basildon on top of this but i should be available every day if u wish 2 get in contact, i spend at least 2 hours a day researching and organising bands via myspace.There have been a few changes to the stations i have aired on, these included fox fm in america, the dust in cardiff and on catnip radio, based in london. My show originally started out as 100% unsigned but i now play newly signed bands also, so if your signed, feel free to get in contact. i have now started doing weekly interviews so if your in a local band, a solo artist or an event promoter, again please get in touch. i would also like to state at this time that if u are a rap/r'n'b artist, I WILL NOT ACCEPT YOUR ADD. i do not like music that sounds remotely like that. also, if your some random person, called something like "(heart) anne marie (heart) - i love clubbing and horses" or something equally random, i will not add you either. i must make this point clear that this is a page for musicians/promoters/venues ONLY. thank you.have my own email now its [email protected] but it doesnt seem to be working at the mo so feel free to send tracks via [email protected] for now. i am also doing demo reviews which are gradually seeping onto the website, so get in contact for my addy, or if your emailing the tracks, make sure u send the cd cover image too (if u dont have one on your demo just send a pic of the band).As-well as demo reviews, video and gig reviews are up there. So every time you see me at a gig, expect to see a review up next day of the nights events. I now take pictures at the royal hotel so if your band is going to play there let me know.

My Interests

Music of course! other than that, art, singing, dancing, drawing, cemetery architecture, and most importantly drinking.

I'd like to meet:

bands! if you play in the style of rock/metal/goth/ industrial/indie/electro send me your cd or demo. i am adding interviews during shows so your in a band or anythin band related let me know. look out for me at gigs, if you want me to come to your gig, get in touch.

Music:

my music started off rock but moved decidedly metal with a hint of goth. now it seems more electro industrial. If your band sounds like this i wanna know about it. if u like alternative music go any of the links ive put on here to listen in.

Movies:

anything helped along by the great late jim henson .and zombie films, i love them all. fav film of all time is dark crystal.

Television:

dont watch a great deal of tv but anything thrown out of mtv is great, esp the yum bam margera and my all time fav daria

Books:

i'll read almost anything put in-front of me but i like fantasy style most. rock on terry pratchet is all i can say on books.

Heroes:

rex harrison, my cat and any female whos made it in this harsh crappy man world. men suck, sorry boys.
