The journey of life is the reward...

About Me

About me:WWW.KEVSHOTS.COM - Check it out!!Well, I was born & raised in good ole Music City USA. But I have traveled quite a bit and I lived briefly in Louisiana at one time. I still have not been to as many place I would like to go though. Other than that I try to enjoy life as much as possible. Right now, I'm trying to further myself financially and get into a career I actually enjoy or involves my interests like photography for example. I don't want to be stuck in a dead end job like a lot of people. And it doesn't matter if I make a lot of money or not, what matters is that I get to make money at something I enjoy. It's the simple things in life that makes people happy in the long term, not money or starry success. But unfortunately these days a lot of people have to settle for that boring job and just enjoy what they love outside of work. That is typically what happens. The key is not to stress over life so much....... there is so much more you could use that energy for!

My Interests

..Meeting new people, traveling, photography, live music, music in general, movies, cooking at home, trying new restaurants, mountain biking, swimming, computers as long as it's an Apple, and just trying to enjoy life as much as possible.

I'd like to meet:

Music:

I'm really open to all types of music. There are also so many unsigned artists out there that are truly amazing. But here are a few of my favorites in no particular order: KT Tunstall, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jackie Greene, Jonny Lang, Susan Tedeschi, Lenny Kravitz, Audioslave, No Doubt, Lady Antebellum, INXS, John Mayer, Nikka Costa, Los Lonely Boys, Fiona Apple, Beck, Joss Stone, The Toadies, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Norah Jones, KMFDM, a lot of Euro Dance, Kylie Minogue, Black Eyed Peas, Oldies like Elvis, Etta James, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jewel, Bob Marley, 80's!, Guns N' Roses, Bon Jovi, Huey Lewis, Prince, and many many more. I'm so open when it comes to this.

Movies:

..Another category where it's hard to pick favorites! Mostly I don't think they make movies like they used to. Good movies are few and far between these days. Anyway here's some favorites: Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, E.T., Aliens, Almost Famous, National Lampoon movies, Chevy Chase movies, Dracula, Bourne Indentity, Braveheart, Breakdown, The Count of Monte Cristo, Desperado, Edward Scissorhands, Fargo, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Fifth Element, Fools Rush In, Forrest Gump, Gattaca, The Ghost and the Darkness, Ghostbusters, Jerry Maguire, The Matrix, Meet Joe Black, Minority Report, Mulholland Drive, Never Been Kissed, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, OfficeSpace, The Others, Pleasantville, Predator, The Princess Bride, Raising Arizona, The Ring, The Road Warrior, Rounders, Serendipity, Se7en, The Shawshank Redemption, The Sixth Sense, Sleepless in Seattle, Stif of Echoes, The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Gift, Titantic, Eternal Sunshne of the Spotless Mind, Trainspotting, A Walk in the Clouds, The Wedding Singer, Charlie's Angels, Wizard of Oz, and many many more. As you can see I have varied taste. =) Unfortunately these days, good movies are few & far between. The great movies these days are the ones you don't hear much about. They have the best stories.

Television:

..Seinfield, Jamie Kennedy Experiment, The Office, Wheel of Fortune, Tennessee Crossroads, NBC Dateline, Cops, anything dealing with forsenic detectives, widlife shows like on Animal Planet, Discovery & TLC channel, court shows, and really not much else. I don't have time for TV anymore.

Books:

I'll read anything as long as it's nonfiction! Anything that is real and that I can learn something from. I know most movies are based on books but when it comes to movies I know it's just entertainment. With books, I feel I must learn something from it if I can take the time to read it.

Heroes:

Steve Jobs - Because he likes to make cool products that don't give you a headache. My Mom - for the life she has given me & my sisters. We definitely wouldn't be who we are without her.
