Robin was born and raised in south Mississippi where her love of music became evident at an early age. "My mom tells me that as a baby I would sit in front of the stereo speakers for long periods of time, completely mesmerized. I still feel the same way when I hear a new song, a great lyric or an amazing voice that really moves me." Her ability to entertain became hard to miss when, at 8, she began entertaining family and friends with spot-on Tina Turner impressions. "I definately became the family clown at some point!"
Robin took every opportunity to perform on the coast, no matter what it was. From store openings to sporting events, every opportunity was a chance to learn something about being on stage. "My first real gig was at 13 as part of a teen show-choir group for an international live TV event. I learned so much during that experience, including how to sing, smile, wear spike heels and not pass out under hot TV stage lighting all at the same time!"
Robin's passion for music led her to the decision to persue a music degree. With the encouragement and advice of a professor/mentor, she decided to focus on the development of her songwriting. After two years of writing, Robin decided that the best way to really hone her skills was to go to Nashville and immerse herself in the writing scene. "I learned so much the first week I was here. And that was the fact that I had a lot to learn!"Robin lives and works in Nashville where she performs in town regularly.
