Now a session singer and background vocalist in Nashville, Lauren Roman started performing as a kid and she's been at it ever since! As a singer, actor & dancer, she got her “break†as a teenager with the lead role in an acclaimed musical at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Doors opened in the acting world, and Lauren originated the role of “Laura Kirk English†on ABC’s All My Children. After 3 years in New York on AMC, Lauren moved to LA, scoring guest-starring roles on shows such as Buffy, Roswell & The Division, a WB pilot series regular, and supporting roles in TV movies & indie films. All the while she kept singing, serving on the worship team of Metro Church (Calvary Chapel of Santa Monica, CA).
Joining an up-&-coming Country band as a background singer & percussionist, Lauren shifted her primary focus to music. As a background vocalist, she has performed at such venues as Verizon Amphitheatre in LA (opening for Willie Nelson) and House of Blues in Las Vegas (opening for Kenny Chesney), as well as several live performances on the KZLA Morning Show in LA, with over half a million listeners.
Lauren’s versatile tone & range, ear for harmonies, powerful voice, and love of various musical genres make her an asset in the studio. She has performed lead and background vocals on countless writer demos, and backgrounds on artist masters in LA and Nashville. Lauren has worked with top songwriters such as multi-platinum writer/producer Pete Kipley (MercyMe), Dove Award-winning writer/producer Steve Hindalong (“God of Wondersâ€/City on a Hill) and sought-after writer/musician Phil Madeira (“Maybeâ€/Alison Krauss; “Hunger and Thirstâ€/Susan Ashton).
