Jeff Allen

Jeff Allen spent many hot summer days at his Grandparents house in Wills Point, Texas. Surprisingly this is where he discovered his love for music. A love inspired by the Gospel Hymns his Grandmother played on the piano, the George Jones songs his Grandfather loved and the Elvis records that his Mother cherished. While snooping around the house, Jeff found a guitar that was given to his aunt many years ago. He taught himself enough cords to accompany himself and would play and sing for anyone who would listen. Local steel guitar player, Sonny Edwards saw him perform at October Fest in Canton Texas. He was so impressed that he invited him to open mic night at the local J&J Bar and Grill. Folks around town started talking about Jeffs talent and encouraged to pursue his dream. A year later he was playing the popular Opry circuit all over Texas. Singing the hits of legends such as Travis Trit and George Strait, he was then asked to be a regular on the popular Johnny High Country Revue.Wanting an identity of his own, Jeff began to write and sing his own songs. After playing in every Texas club he could, his break finally came when an agent from Nashville saw him play. Soon his bags were packed and his truck was headed for Nashville. After only a couple of months in town he landed shows playing with such greats as Vince Gill and Little Big Town.His heartfelt songs capture both the heartache and happiness he has experienced in life. His distinctive voice along with his live show reveal a talent that Jeff Allen has been humbly blessed with. I hope my songs reflect the dreams I have for the future and the lessons the past has taught me.
