Country/rock singer-songwriter
Chelsea Lena has been in the studio the past several months working with
E.B. Fraley on her forthcoming debut album. Six songs from those sessions are now up on myspace.com/chelsealena including:
“Good Ol’ Country Song,† a new version of the impassioned
“You Can’t Tell Me,†the ballad
“Letting Go Is Harder Than Saying Goodbye,â€Â memories of a first love in
“Fell,†“All She Wants†and
“The Boy, Me and Liberty.â€Â  Â
Chelsea Lena is an upbeat, infectious performer with an amazing voice, who has opened for
Carrie Underwood, Toby Keith (K-Frog Tailgate Party) and
Tyler Hilton, and has received such praise as:Â
“Vocally she can hold her own with the best of the genre†-
Jamey Bresden/Deli Magazine.  Chelsea’s influences range from
Jennifer Nettles, Miranda Lambert, Diane Warren, Craig Wiseman, Jeffrey Steele, Rivers Rutherford to her “favorite outlaws,â€
Johnny Cash and Hank Williams, Jr. Â
Country music was a constant in her house when growing up and Chelsea started singing her favorite songs at an early age. She attended a performing arts academy, but feeling stifled soon left knowing she “could do so much more.â€Â Chelsea then started writing and playing clubs in Los Angeles. When she started gigging in Nashville people took notice and she was booked at several of the city’s hot spots including, the
Bluebird Cafe, Blue Bar, Billy Block’s Western Beat at the Cadillac Ranch, Fuel, 12th and Porter and The Rutledge, among other venues. For fun she sang the
National Anthem at a
WWF show at the
Staples Center. Southern California country radio station
K-FROG has booked her at several of its events.
In 2007 Chelsea also played at
South By Southwest, the
CRS 2007 Emerging Artist Showcase and a five day run at the
Microsoft World Partner Conference in Denver to crowds of 8000 people per day.
Chelsea's fan base continues to grow and her My Space site gains in popularity among country, pop and rock fans alike.
In addition to writing her own material, Chelsea is working with various songwriters in Nashville, including
E.B. Fraley.  In March she starts a cross country tour with showcase dates in Los Angeles.
