About Me
Hi there! I'm Angie Brown, originally of RAMONA 55 but best known for my days with BIZARRE INC. when I was lucky enough to go to a session for a track called 'I'm Gonna Get You' which went on to reach No.2 in the charts and launched me worldwide and I've never really looked back! That was in 1992 and now more recently,in 2006, I re-worked and re-recorded that tune for a new audience and you can hear it at www.wgic.co.uk Since 1992 I've not stopped working, singing live across the world and recording with the very cream of talented recording artistes, from THE HAPPY MONDAYS to THE STEREOPHONICS, from HEAVEN 17 to KATE BUSH, from THE SOUL AVENGERZ to GABRIELLE and everyone in between, including THE ROLLING STONES, MARK MORRISON (female vocals on 'Return of the Mack') HED KANDI, FAT BOY SLIM, BEVERLEY KNIGHT, CHAKA KHAN, THE SPICE GIRLS, COURTNEY PINE, TONY HADLEY, KENNY THOMAS, BOY GEORGE and LISA STANSFIELD to name just a few. I have toured the globe, always singing live, be it with bands like The Happy Mondays, as myself as a named artiste or as a trio of divas; touring with contempories like SYBIL, RACHEL McFARLAND and ROZALLA. Things are really going great! In 2007 I started a new concept, namely 'Angie Brown Late Night in Concert' (at all 3 Butlins resorts) and that continues in November! Thanks, as ever, for all your many messages and pure love that I feel when I perform live for an always up for it crowd! Also, I must say I love being a mum! Little Cuba is the light of my life and he's nearly three now! My Music is going really well, I feel so blessed. Last August I closed the final gig at Manchester Mardis Gras with an hours set, as is traditional now, and it was a fantastic night thanks to such an amazing crowd behind me all the way! In both Gran Canaria and Manchester,it was so much fun to duet with my beautiful friend IKENNA BENEY, International Whitney impersonator and class act! In 2007 I find myself busier than ever before; I'm co-writing with some well respected and gifted songwriters and singers, so look at my 'blogs' to learn about my current projects and also about other tracks I've recorded over the years and right up to now.
