About Me
Isn't it hard to draw a line between selling yourself, bragging and sharing? Okay, here goes. I have A Levels in Philosophy, English and Theatre and a BA Hons in Drama. Yes, I'm a fully qualified drama queen, thanks. Most famously, I was the vocalist and writer of the seminal techno track Twisted, recorded with my wife and sister, the legendary Wayne G. You can watch the charming video just below. Twisted went Gold in Australia and we toured our drug-fucked asses quite extensively. For the record, we also made a critically acclaimed album called 'Through the K-Hole'.While creating a name for myself as a gay, techno-pop act, I was also editing and feature writing for QX Magazine. While there, I broke new ground in erotic-safe-sex fiction, club photography, Gonzo style travel writing and brutally honest diary-esque club reportage. It was a blog, but on paper. I did it for 10 years and at the peak of this lunacy was voted one of the 50 Most Influential People in London- alongside Tony Blair, Alexander McQueen and Gordon Ramsey. I know, it freaked me out too.I've written for Blue & DNA (Australia), DJ, Mixmag, Time Out, Gay Times, Attitude and various other glossies and wank mags. Yes, I should have written a book, but seem to be too busy socialising.I've also co-produced a documentary called 'Twisted' which is a high-octane, unflinchingly honest rave-u-mentary road movie about touring the gay circuit party scene. It was a sell-out hit at the LL&G Film Festival and also wowed crowds in Lisbon, Sydney, Sao Paulo, Rio, Bilbao, Madrid and er...Leicester. No, it's not available on DVD yet. Don't ask.I love the gay scene, in fact, clubland in general. I'm like a moth to the mirrorball and have been like that since I was 13. I'm attracted to the freaks, addicts, hookers, fuck-ups, beauties and occasional bores that inhabit this world.I currently DJ at The Hospital Club (Studio 24), Gay City Rollers (a gay roller disco in Vauxhall) Hustlaball, Lovechild at Pascha, RUT at The Hoist...and am available for birthdays, funerals, weddings and orgies.I've DJd for The Horror Channel launch party, the Elton John AIDS Foundation, Mixfest Brazil Film Festival, London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, Trade Ibiza, Salvation Ibiza, Bilbao Film Festival, Kirsty's Shocking Wedding in Rome, Sarah Ring's Wedding in Cairns Australia and London Fashion Week.I've travelled extensively, most radically when I did Thailand and India where I went to Poona with my hippy father and became a Sanyassin. Being part of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh's cult was a fascinating window into the spiritual world, but he was homophobic and I didn't like the Sanskrit name I was given. This shows that he wasn't enlightened, and I've got a long way to go. However, enlightenment is not a short or easy journey, I did learn that much. By the way, the name was Prem Sakshin. My friends called me Phlegm Sack-of-shit, which challeneged my serene lake of tranquility somewhat.Last year I got married to by best friend Wayne G in a sensational drag extravaganza aboard the HMS Belfast.
