MANUEL CARRANCO Dj, Producer & Events Promotor

About Me

BIOGRAPHY
Manuel Carranco started djíng when he was only 18 years old in Madrid, where he is from. In the late 80´s, he was promoted a change in music tendences towards acid-house in gay clubs such as: "Cruising", "Metal","Ales", "Zar", etc, in which he was resident for several years. In the 90´s he changed his style playing techno and trance always giving to his music and sessions some progressive connotations. He worked in Madrid as a dj resident in clubs like: "Baile el Baile", "Ozono", "Stop", "Aire", "Heaven", "Space of Sound" (The End session), "Radical", "Factoria", etc..
In the early 90´s, he travelled quite often to USA and became a regular assistant in fetish parties in the mythical club "The Meat Rack" in L.A. (California), and also during´93 to ´96 he played eventually at "The Zone DK" in New York city.
His career reached a new level when in 1997 he moves to London where he fits himself right into the club scene getting a residency at "0IClub!" and also in clubs such as "H20", "The Artful Dodger" and the famous "Fist"..
After this important and productive period, in the year 2000, he decides to go back to Madrid full of projects to start himself as a club promoter to lunch the first Spanish fetish rave party called "Zortex", making an important breakthough and consolitating himself, along with Tony Blanco as the most important organizers in the hard spanish gay scene, and giving their club "Odarko" a leading role where Manuel Carranco is a resident dj as well as in his outstanding new gay fetish session called "Into The Tank" that usually takes place every two months with massive and international affluence of public from all over the world.

LATEST NEWS

"DON´T WASTE YOUR TIME" is the last track by Manuel Carranco. It is about house-progressive with some electronic sounds, inspired by the 90s trance style where the sound of the arpegios are the central axis of the track. The perfect right combination that will make this track emphasize among other many.
Penultimate finished piece of his forhtcoming EP that will include several new tracks such as “Uniform Men”, “The Shining”, “Don´t Waste Your Time”, “Anubis” or “Nordkapp” , and that will be released by his own new record label “Odarko Records”. His latest productions show a clear evolutionary move towards new sounds whilst keeping to his particular rhythm style production. He wants to demonstrate that is not difficult to create and develop his own music stlye and following the latest trends without disappointing his faithful followers that wait months to dance to his exclusive live sessions at “Into The Tank” or simply listen to at his club “Odarko”.
Carranco´s forecast is to produce at least ten of his own tracks and some more remixes by the end of the year and no more. “I prefer to produce less and keep myself on the music scene for years rather than bore the crowd in a short time with a lot of similar productions that waste my ideas and inspiration” says Carranco. A fact that he has always demonstrated since the beginning of his career in 1986. Less production but more time on the scene.
