From humble beginnings, to becoming Hollands Number One Champion Sound. Herb-A-Lize It was born in east-Holland in the city of Enschede (En-ska-day). It all started after Stef visited the reggae/dancehall epi-center, Jamaica-Jamaica back in 1995 and tasted the true essence of this musical culture, which we have grown to love so much. He returned to Holland with the sounds first two dubplates, a head full of ideas and a burning desire to get Herb-A-Lize It up and running. Sultan, a long time friend and a local dj on the scene in En-ska-day at the time, joined the sound in 1998, bringing his charismatic, never give up, take no prisoners mentality to the Sound. And this was the start of Herb-A-Lize Its assault on the Dutch reggae/dancehall scene. In 2001 Daddy Jim, the wickedest, free-styling spitter in town joined up with the Sound and since 2005 the final and most deadly weapon in the form of dj D1 aka Jam Master found his way into the Herb-A-Lize It camp and has now become the sounds main selector.Energy, excitement and the element of surprise are elements youd get in a typical Herb set. No two sets would ever be the same because nothing is planned in this Sound. A combination of reggae and dancehall with a few surprises in the mix are the key ingredients in a Herb-A-Lize It cook up. Herb-A-Lize It has shared the spotlight with many other big international sounds, graced the stage at many well-known reggae concerts (Summer Jam and Two77Splash to name a few) and performed alongside just about all of the bigger reggae/dancehall artists all over Europe.Herb-A-Lize It is now known and respected not only as a Big Sound System with a seriously sick dub-box, but also as the only Dutch Sound hosting monthly bashments, and the only Dutch Sound that hosts clashes. War-Inna-East is a yearly clash organized by Herb-A-Lize It, which brings together the wickedest Sound Sytems to do battle on Dutch soil.The future looks bright for Herb-A-Lize It, the Sound that would definitely keep on making their own destiny and pushing the envelope of creativity within this addictive reggae/ dancehall world to higher and higher hights.
