1.1 Partyinc.Com began in 1998 with the idea of creating a web space so that Jamaican collegiates abroad could keep abreast of the “happenings†at home. The initial concept of the website was party listings and to have pictures posted from various events. Six years later, we’ve expanded beyond our wildest expectations!
1.2 Although we still have the pictures and party listings, the site has now been divided into four major sections.
1.2.1 “The Pulse†which is the heart of the website, contains Party photos, Audio files, Music videos, Party listings, Club Listings and more.
1.2.2 “Edutainment†is the section that has all the Interviews, Reviews, News, Special Features and more. To date, we’ve showcased several artists and sound systems in this section of the website.
1.2.3 “Culture & Lifestyle†which pays homage to the roots of Jamaican entertainment, as well as painting a picture of the social scene with categories such as Foundation, Theatre, “Skoolingâ€, Fashion and more.
1.2.4 Finally “Street Corner†which entails user interaction via Guest Book, Shout Outs, Reviews and more. We provide advertising for major events on the Jamaican social calendar.
1.3 Through much hard work and networking, PartyInc has become a hot spot on the “net†for anyone, anywhere in the world, who is interested in finding out what’s happening, not only in Jamaica but the vast Jamaican community in Florida. We are looking to expand coverage in the areas such as New York and the major Caribbean islands. PartyInc is the innovator in Jamaican websites regarding entertainment and we will be taking our ideas to amazing heights.
