Born on May 25th, 1985 and raised in Kingston 6, Jamaica. The Singer/Songwriter Bridgez has had a passion for music since the tender age of six when her father bought her first keyboard. She didn't let her passion stop there; by the age of eleven she and her other two friends formed a group at their church where they would sing their hearts out onstage but unfortunately that didn't last too long. Bridgez continued to venture some way of showing her talent to people, whether it is karaoke or just singing in the choir at her high school.By age 14, Bridgez started to write poems and later on came up with the idea of turning them into songs until she started writing songs as a hobby. She looked up to artistes like Mariah Carey, Air Supply, Anita Baker, Sade, Diana King, Gloria Estefan and Toni Braxton she later grew to Idolize other artists like Aaliyah, Sean Paul, Celine Dion, Selena, Tanya Stephens and Nadine Sutherland. At age 16 "Bridgez" started to take music more seriously. She answered an ad one day in the newspaper to join a girl group called "3 Wishes" that was formed by Producer/Rapper Norman Chambers aka "Doom†The Son Of Jimmy Cliff. He was impressed with her talent and told her to join the group immediately but the group grew apart in no time. Bridgez was left on her own...not certain if she really wanted to be apart of a group anymore or she should try going solo. She entered contests and did a few auditions but none of them worked out in the direction she wanted to go. Eventually she started focusing more on writing songs and recording them as demos on her computer until she met with The Legendary Producer Jack Scorpio. After hearing her "computer demos" and her vocals he decided to work with her. She recorded two songs under the Black Scorpio Label "If Love's A Game" and "Shy" which was her first single released in 2005. Unfortunately the song didn't get much recognition. This motivated the young singer to write more songs. In that same year, at the age of 20, she got an opportunity to do a collaboration with the artiste "Danny English" on his upcoming album. She had met him a year back on a promotional tour bus where he heard her singing and told her he had to work with her one day. Impressed with the collaboration "Danny English" introduced her to a good friend of his Chart Topping Producer/Songwriter "Jah Snowcone" where he too was impressed with her talent and decided to work with the young artiste.Since then she has been working with "Snowcone" and he has agreed to be her manager. Now at the age of 21, She has released her second single "Bestfriend" off the "Jah Snow Cone Entertainment Inc. Label" which has had heavy rotation both locally and overseas and is still growing. Bridgez has recently done a collaboration with her producer/manager “Snowcone†called “So Fine†and she has also done a collaboration with Tanto Metro And Devonte called “How You Like It†on the Snowcone’s most recent project “The Cheerful Rhythm†which she also has her own song called “Put It Pon Meâ€. Bridgez continues to write and record more songs for public recognition and hopes to win peoples' hearts with her music in the process.
