As an engineer Orville 'Rorey' Baker has worked with some of the biggest & brightest in the music industry both here in Jamaica and abroad, He has worked on many projects with Sly and Robbie as both engineer and co-producer, as well as engineered & produced for UB40, Wyclef Jean, No Doubt, Diana King, Beenie Man, Shaggy, Bounty Killer, Gwen Stefani, Sean Paul, Maxi Priest, Anthony B, Ghost, Buju Banton, Junior Kelly, Wailing souls, Horace Andy, Kaya, Carl Douglas, Cherine Anderson, Calibe Thompson, Chevelle Franklyn, Lil Jon, Innocent Kru, Tenor, T.O.K. Nuff Styles, BunnyRuggs of third world
and the list goes on. In 1998 Sly and Robbie's album "Friends" won the Grammy award for best reggae recording of that year, and it was on this album that Rorey Baker played the engineering role very creatively indeed. He has also engineered on Sean Pauls "Dutty Rock" which sold certified RIAA double platinum stateside and captured the Reggae Grammy for 2003. 2006 being no exception, has Sly and Robbie's "Rhythm Doubles" being also a nominee for the awards, This album not only showcases Rorey's talents as an engineer, but also as a producer.In 2002 Rorey baker started his own record label Crib Entertainment, for which he has produced tracks for Ghost, Calibe, Leroy Sibbles, Richie Spice, Half Pint, Alozade, Red Rose, Beenie man, Danielle, Hawkeye, Innocent Kru, Tenor and a host of other jamaican artistes.Recently in 2006 Rorey launched his new recording company ,The Baker Music Productions.Which will see Rorey showcasing new talents as well as new sounds in reggae & dancehall music.This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5
