My name is Calibe and I am Jamaican. There is reggae in every song I do because it is my root and where I come from. I mix it in with some pop and rock and soul and jazz, and then I call it mine. I've heard I remind people of singers and souls from Sade to Diana King to India.Arie to Lauryn Hill. As flattered as I am, I know I don't sound like any of them. My voice changes from one song to the next, but it's all me. My style changes from one song to the next, but it's all me. Musically, I grew up around Sly and Robbie. I spent 2002-2003 supporting Beenie Man on tour, then 2004-2005 opening for and supporting Kevin Lyttle on tour. This is 2007 and I'm with the MBIG Music Family doing my own thing in great company.
