He becomes the character he plays, it's as if the character posses him. A seventeen year veteran, Peter Lloyd is one of Jamaica 's most successful actors. A member of the prestigious Screen Actor's Guild of America. You have heard Peter Lloyd's voice on countless commercials but because of his ability to change that voice it's hard to know you are listening to the same person. From the cultured English of Air Jamaica's international radio and television commercials between 2001- 2004 to the gritty inner city youth of a Guinness commercial. His diversity is astounding.
Peter Lloyd has appeared in over ten international feature films and television series in many cases as a lead actor or in a supporting role. Movies such as the Mighty Quinn which starred Denzel Washington, Prelude To A Kiss which featured Meg Ryan and Alec Baldwin, or the hugely successful Walt Disney series Return To Treasure Island, Passion and Paradise, the CBS mini series and Going To Extremes, the ABC television series.
He has been directed by the genius Spike Lee. Hand picked from a cast of thousands for the lead role for BST.BDDP Limited ( UK), for the lead role in the 1995 Guinness international commercial, which aired throughout Asia and the United Kingdom. He was the voice of DHL's 1997-98 Christmas radio campaigns worldwide. The many guise of his voice has been heard from Africa to Europe , North and South America as well as the Caribbean, pitching all kinds of goods and services for local and international corporations.
He has worked for some of Jamaica's leading advertising agencies, from CGR Communications Limited from which he did the now classic Delite Chef commercials, McCann-Erickson (JA) Limited, MacMillan Advertising Limited, Lindo Foote Cone & Belding Communications Limited, Dunlop Corbin Communications and Advertising and Marketing (JA) Limited to name a few.
Peter Lloyd has also distinguished his excellence on the Jamaican and international theatrical stage, he has appeared as lead in countless Jamaican productions, from The Fantastics, My Son's Friend, The Rope and The Cross, to his nomination for best actor in the Ed Wallace Production of Boeing Boeing as Bernard.
An exceptional broadcaster Peter Lloyd has hosted some of Jamaica's most popular television programs. From then Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation's Morning Time in the 1990's, Man and Woman Story TVJ's Sunday talk show in 2000, to an eight-months stint as the sole host of the mega popular Mantalk which aired Sundays at 9pm on TVJ ('05).

Peter Lloyd is also currently one of Jamaica's hottest recording artiste. He presently sits in the top five (March '06) of three recognized and respected music charts; Miphone's dancehall chart, Megajamz's top 20 as well as Hype TV's top 10 with his super popular Gold Digga produced by Sly & Robbie and Peter Lloyd himself on their raw food riddim. Peter Lloyd's Dem Say Gold Digga music video directed/produced and co-edited by himself is currently in heavy rotation on MTV's Tempo.
Lloyd has had numerous top 10 hit songs such as perennial Wake Dem Up in 2005, U Magnet and Ready 4 Luv in 2004, Walk Through Fire in 2003 and countless other singles including Pose with the queen of raw Lady Saw, Dancehall Queen, Baby Baby (Crazy for you), Perfect Body all of which hit the top 5 in all major reggae charts through 1994- 1998 and others. Lloyd has managed to maintained top chart presence and wide cross appeal i.e. preteens to adults, ghetto to rural and lower income to upper income without ever having done a negative song or uttering a negative on stage.
