A I R A M .... It's not a common name... If it sounds Arabic, it's completely Venezuelan! One of my grand-mother's invention... it's just... M A R I A backwards.... because my mum's name is Maria... (as she hates her name, she decided to take MARU as plastic artist name)...
I was born in Venezuela, on a sunny Saturday, November 9 of 1974...
I moved to France with my parents when I was 5 because my mum had a school scholarship to make a post graduate diploma in Arts mention "Fire Arts" in Limoges... (small city of the center of France specialized in ceramics and enamels....)... In 1992, as I was a rebels teenager I came back to Venezuela and graduated of High school French diploma in the Colegio Francia... Then I moved again to Paris where I got a Masters degree in Economics in Nanterre University, a post graduate diploma in Finances.... Then I worked as young financial analyst, then as stocks operator (back and middle office) in international banks until 2003 when I cane back to Venezuela with my best friend Vanessa and we filmed our first documentary "Dialogo de Sordos" after winning French production help (CNC)... After that, I change my career and make a professional training in French cinema school 3is in Film/TV production and production manager...
Since then, wIth other friends, we are trying to go on with Chicas Productions... 6 months of work in Paris... we couldn't register the company as we wanted : Arts production (in France you have to choose between Film/music/plastic Arts....)... So I decide to move again to Caracas, and created Chicas Productions there.... and since a year and a half we are working very very hard to produce our first movie "Zamuros Way"... which script was written by Javier Mujica, Vanessa's dad.... And for political reasons, we couldn't film the movie in Venezuela, so as I've already try to finance it in Europe before, as the script is in Spanish and because we had Demian Bichir, the Mexican star for the lead role, I've decided to come and visit Los Angeles ... One month later, without knowing anyone... as LA is the city where everything is possible if you have positive energy... I met the right persons at the right moment so now, I just have to wait... and i hope very soon be able to talk about the new destiny of Zamuros Way... We all have to be a little more patient... But what I've learn... is that if you believe in what you are doing and stay focused... you will approach your dreams...
