Hi there, my name is Sharon and I'm a promoter in York. I've worked with many bands from across the country into promoting them into the York Music Scene.
The way I work is that I'm a non-profit promoter, apart from my expenses ie posters/flyers and the sound engineer, I divide all money received from footfall between the bands on the night. That means all bands WILL receive an equal share of the money made on the night. Obviously I ask the bands to do their bit by advertising the gig as much as they can and if they can bring any fans that's even better. I provide all posters etc for the bands too. I hope this is satisfactory to you as I only want to promote bands that are unsigned and want to play in York and that I can help with profiling them into the York music scene.
