PANTHEON

Pantheon - coming to a small venue near you!

About Me

BRIEF BIO
Pantheon are a five strong metal band from York and have been playing live since our June 2006. After some minor lineup changes we found the confidence to gig more regularly and since then we have been moving from strength to strength in terms of stage presence and tightness. We all feel strongly about giving a good first impression not only musically but also in reliability and with a good attitude - we have never pulled out of a gig we have agreed to do and always turn up on time. We intend to keep this ethic as it improves our reputation with venues and other bands.
We play heavy metal, but we all have different preferences to the genre from Death Metal to Classic 80’s Metal, and so there is a range of musical ideas when it comes to jamming and writing material. Either way, we aim to have a varied technical style that is engaging to listen to.
We have played with bands such as Evile, Diamond Head, Rise to Addiction and Father.

STREET TEAM

Pantheon is trying to expand into a more open gig circuit outside York. This of course doesn't mean we'll stop playing in York altogether, we'll still be playing the usual local venues. It is possible for band members to promote the band and gigs on the street in York with relative success, but we need a helping hand to improve promotion in York and to reach potential audiences elsewhere.
We are looking for people who will be genuinely willing to hand out flyers and put up posters for Pantheon in the area they live in. Various benefits will be given to those involved including discount merch, unique downloads and the odd freebie. When appropriate, flyers and promo material will be sent out to members of the street team for them to use.
If you are interested email [email protected] or message us on myspace with your name and postal address, and if possible, your myspace url. (The Street Team space is invite only, so we won't accept adds unless you message us as above)

REVIEWS
"This young band kick of their EP with infectious Master of Puppets-esque riffery that shows a firm grasp of complex song structures and tight, confident playing. The tendancy to throw in everything but the kitchen sink in every song, where a more concise approach would have greater impact, weakens this slightly, and the vocals could do with more power, but one to watch nonetheless."
4.5/6 -Will Pinfold from Zero Tolerance Magazine
"Next were Pantheon who are fast becoming the favoured metal support band. Growling vocals, chugging riffs, thumping backline beat."
- Sir H. Janus
“It's good to see a young band who truly believe in what they're doing, check Pantheon out!”
- Ol Drake, Evile
"One of the best metal bands in York!"
- Andy, Hellraiser Records
"a fret-work barrage which unleashes the fury.....The sound is overwhelmingly ambitious, mixing the high speed antics of Dave Mustaine and Dave Ellefson with the vocal over-emphasis of Lee Dorian....."
- Rob Wright, Sandman Magazine
