Well, a quick summary: I'm an electronics student at york university, and I live in Osbaldwick with my awesome friends Dave, Rob, Richie and Westy . I also work part time as a posh-ass waiter (waistcoat and everything :O ) at York Pavilion Hotel.
After spending about 16 years following christianity I finally found enlightenment, hence why I am now a MASSIVE ATHEIST. One day I will post one or more highly detailed blogs explaining why, but until that day you can just accept it.
Things that I hate: Arrogance, liars, pretentious wankers , in-your-face evangelists, chavs , anyone who thinks religious laws such as Sharia are a good thing, homophobics , racists, sexists, rapists, narrow-mindedness, attention-seekers, posers, whiners and anyone who decides to upset or try it on with my girlfriend.
Those mentioned above deserve punishment; ranging from simple persuasive slapping to lifelong harrowing physical and mental torture followed by death. Being a fairly non-violent type however, in most cases I would not be the one to hand out the punishment. Apart from the last one, whereby anyone who falls in that category may earn themselves broken fingers and many savage kicks to the face, since I am the protective type. Â
Things that I love:
Absolute number 1) My stunningly beautiful girlfriend Jen, the one who with a simple smile, sentence or gesture can make the whole world melt away; who can cheer me up in any situation; who makes me feel glad to be alive every time I think of her; who brings me untold happiness with every moment we spend together... She completes me like no one else ever could, and I love her more deeply and truly than I had ever thought it possible to love someone. Â
2) My friends at home, in no particular order:
Dave: Blood brother and all-round excellent mate, theres no one in the world who's quite such a fucking mint laugh. I'm pretty certain we will be friends for life. Many good times past, many more to come.
Rob: Has always been there for me in my lowest moments, always willing to listen and to help , and aside from that we've had many great times. We may not always see quite eye-to-eye but I still consider him one of my very closest friends.
Richie: One of those people I can't find anything bad to say about, didn't know him at all before we moved in to the house but its all been mint since then. A great laugh and fun to live with. Drums ftw !
Westasaur : Always good for a laugh in any situation, he could write a book on "how to have fun...anywhere". Or "how to destroy literally everything in one second or less". Either way, he's a fuckin genius!
3) My parents, believe it or not. My childhood may not have been great, but having moved away from home I now can't help but appreciate my mum for supporting me on her own for so many years, and my dad for his continuing support in many aspects of my life. Â
I also love music. I play drums for metal band Pantheon, and compose my own electronic music under the alias 'Tryptophan'. I also play bass, mostly slap-style, but I'm as yet not particularly good at it.
Other facts:
I have around 36 posters on my wall and ceiling, all of which are colourful and in some cases fascinating. I'm quite a fan of Salvador Dali and Escher, since their art is generally fascinating and unique. Â
I used to play roller hockey for York Whitehawks , don't play it any more but I still fuckin love skating, on ice or on wheels.
I've taken many drugs, the experiences of which have taught me many invaluable lessons which have greatly shifted my perspective for the better on life and attitudes towards people.
Mostly as a result of the above, I love sunsets, clear night skies, sunny days outside, breathtaking scenery and relaxing places. All of these I enjoy best when sharing them with Jen.
So there it is , that is me. If you need to know any more than that, you're probably a stalker of some sort and I'd rather not tell you.
