My Interests

Live music, good musicianship, whether acoustic or electric, folk, rock, or playing the kazoo. If it is played well, I will like it. Possibly draw the line at bagpipes.

PICK UP YOU SHOPPING DISCOUNT CARD AT LIMS 12 - 15 JUNE 2008

The Paul Hunter Tribute Concert CD's are now ready. All proceeds of this CD go to the NET Patient Foundation (registered charity 1092386), the charity supported by snooker ace Paul Hunter.

The concerts were held in York at Cert 18 and The Junction on May 26th, 27th, & 28th 2007 with the blessing of Paul's widow Lyndsey, and his management team. 27 bands played over a three day period to raise money for the NET Patient Foundation. This double CD celebrates that achievement, and thanks those who took part.

The CD contains rock, soul, electro rock, metal, punk, indie, and a couple of cover versions. Something for everybody.

Artists featured include; New Soul Company, Papa G, Grinny Grandad, Tetone 3, The Jones, Megawatt Winged Avenger, Tidal Fury, Arcana, In Audium, Diego Snail, Velvet Star, The Plug, The GT's, The Universals, Forty Paces, 98 Pages, AB Negative, Third Conduct, Pantheon, Player 1, Autumn Noise, and Craig Whitehead.

Music:

Local bands were able to sell their CD's through Acomb Music as of August 1st 2007.

All that was asked of the bands was that the CD be of a professional quality and production, no handwritten CD-R's, the band place my link and logo on their myspace and websites, and that they allow me to charge a 10% commission on each sale. Bands using this service would be listed on my Myspace pages. Fair Enough?

A couple of the bands and artists did place links, a reasonable request I thought. Many others did not. The service is now withdrawn, and requests to the bands and artists concerned will be going out for them to collect their CD's.
