***LIVERPOOL GIG CANCELLED***
It is with great sadness we must inform you, that Thursday's gig in Liverpool has been cancelled. Apparantly the venue and it's sound were simply not good enough for a band to be able to showcase its material. This is the decision of the promoter we booked through. We were looking forward to playing Liverpool in one of our later additions to our tour, but look excitedly onwards to next thursday in Sheffield. Please make the journey to see us from near or far if you possibly can, it's under an hour from Manc-land.
CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR BONANZA!!! LONDON
To top off a great tour and finish our year in style we journey back to London to play the famous Water Rats venue in Camden.
Our aim is to fill up a mini bus or two and take people to London for the day so you can shop in the sales (Oxford street, Carnaby street, tempted?) or see the sights of the city.
This will be a great day out regardless of the gig, but book your place now to be sure by dropping us a message.
Travel is estimated at £10 plus your ticket at £5 - subject to change on demand (or lack of!).

We rolled out of bed and bumped heads ‘til we said "You can sing if I strum, get a monster to drum". We got jingly and jangly and made lots of noise and we played it one night to the girls and the boys. Some people said ‘Groovy’ and others just clapped but we liked it when people did that. We get crazy and silly and push things too far ‘cause we want to be just like real rock stars but TV’s are dear so we don’t do that bit with the smashed hotel window - we’d much rather watch it. We’ll be coming to play out again sometime soon and we’ll bring along more of our jangly tunes.

"Class, Stunning". [Clint Boon, XFM Manchester]
“I love the unusual and interesting vocals, it‘s a real asset of your music, this music is clever and catchy and the song-writing is strong.” [Stephen Lironi/Producer]
“Blindride’s indie-rock has an enjoyable off-balance quality…which on the strength of their tunes is one worth investigating.” [Chris Long, BBC Manchester]
“Blindride have genuine five-star potential and their music holds a strikingly individual character which merits your attention. Given time to ferment, this band will leave you drunk with musical bliss.” [Benjamin Short, Manchester Live Reviewer]

Blindride's three-piece sound tumbles into that undefined indie/pop/rock territory that draws on such influences as Muse, The Killers, Radiohead and Elbow. Adopted by Manchester in 2003, Blindride's contagious choruses spark energy and drive whilst maintaining delicately crafted melodies and intricate musicianship. But whilst Manchester can boast an endless list of bands and artists that it has spewed out over the years, Blindride fall farther from the 'Mad'chester scene than any such contemporaries as The Stone Roses, Oasis, Doves, or indeed Elbow.
Similarly to the Doves of old, Blindride auditioned bassist after bassist and were eventually forced into making the journey on their own. But God forbid that they should concede to misfortune and have frontman - Wardman - reluctantly pick up the bass guitar, hell no, blindride turned and faced their demons to develop an outfit which would undoubtedly give them that unique 'sound', that is often credited to any bands success.
But Blindride's synth-bass undertones and infrequent pop-keyboard, only pay tribute to the Jekyll and Hyde spirit of guitarist - Jamie Moore - whose subtlety streams from the outrageous, and whose stupendous exhumes modesty, for which he makes no apology. And if a drummer was ever worthy of being heralded as the under-rated foundation of a band, it is Paul Worth, whose non-conformist approach, results in Blindride's ever shifting, yet steady dance-esque beats.
It is true to say that Blindride are not everybody's cup of tea, but in the same breath, could it be Blindride who pose the biggest threat to Manchester's 'same old, same old' attitude? Having already been noted for 'strong-songwriting' and 'interesting' vocals, it appears that Blindride have all the ingredients of a band heading in the right direction. You should judge for yourself.
