INDIE ALL NIGHT

3RD OF DECEMBER, THE TIMES W/ THE RUBY GROOVE AND DIRTY RED, TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE!!!

About Me

..
Hey...
A 2-bit night run by a 2-bit promoter, slightly unprofessional in most departments, can be shambolic at times, but always fun. And if you want to see live music in Fallowfield you have no choice... One day early in the Summer of 2005, two graduates had a really stupid idea. Lets start an indie night at Bar Xs in Fallowfield. This stupid idea became a reality in September of that year...
From embarrassingly difficult beginings, Indie All Night has established itself into one of the most successful nights in Fallowfield. After a few months of running the night we decided we needed something a bit more, so we started putting on 3 live bands every week instead of just djing for seven hours.
After two years of this format things change and you end up not being able to put as much time into things as you would like. September 2007 sees our third format for the night which is the FIRST MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH. We feel doing it this way we can make our nights more of an event, picking only the very best acts to play.Since we started all them many moons ago acts such as The Answering Machine (now signed), The Courteeners (now signed), The Tender Box (now signed), The Tides, The Redwings, Sundowner, Bauer (now signed), Otra Mano, Lucy and the Caterpillar (now signed), Little Volcanoes and The Romance (now signed) have all graced the gig bringing in large amounts of people. We feel that Fallowfield has been crying out for a night like this for a long time, we looked at the alternatives...who really wants to go to the Queen of Hearts or be arsed to get on a bus and go to Filth Av...?
So yeah, against all odds here we are...we are currently booking bands for the new academic year 07/08 so if you want to play add us to your friends and send us a message.
Our next venture...ballroom dancing at Karma...?! Bands confirmed for 2007/2008 are all included in the blog above...so keep checking that out regularly to see whose coming down to Indie All Night.

I'd like to meet:

Hmmm...who would I like to meet. Well celebrities would be no good, probably a bit of a let down. So I'll be gay and say I'd like to meet any bands, photographers, flyerers, sound engineers or generally anyone who could help out in anyway on a Wednesday night in Bar Xs. Yes that sounds rather good. Any demo's, flyer designs or anything of Indie All Night interest to Indie All Night, 10 Birchfields Avenue, Manchester, M13 0XG.Also everyone always asks where this place actually is and I don't think its actually on this page...Indie All Night, Bar Xs, 341-343 Wilmslow Road, Fallowfield, Manchester, M14 6XS.

Random Facts About Our NightThe biggest band we have had play is probably the Answering Machine or maybe The Courteeners. You decide.Speaking of which, we famously gave The Answering Machine there first ever headlining gig.
International One have played Indie All Night a record five times. Our capacity is around 250, an intimate gig for a signed band and a big night for an unsigned band.Entry is £3 for everyone, all night. Do we play rare indie, yeah course we do. Do we play chart indie, yeah course we do. Thing about these sorts of nights I think is when your well pissed and its 1am and your dancing whether or not your a fan Razorlight, Fratellis, Smiths etc is what you want, early doors something along the lines of...Klaxons, Long Blondes, Young Knives. All I'm saying is we try to play it all. We're not pretentious and were not cheesy.
