I enjoy a regular schedule. I enjoyed the Englischer Hof, and other spots. I'll take a pint of ale from time to time. I think though that Mr. Nietzsche had it right when he noted that 'life without music would be a mistake'. To play music, is perhaps to breech the realm of 'doing' philosophy.
Clearly Sappho, Parmenides, et alii... Mr. Samuel Beckett. Mr. Friedrich Nietzsche, a fellow of whom i've heard so much - read him; if i had lived longer, we might have written music together. His extrapolation of the freedom of will from my prize-winning notions, is exceptional. Mr. Jorge L. Borges. Mr. Ernst Bloch, for truly, his 'Ultimum', the simultaneous cultivation and transformation of time, (the moment of subjective, pure, will-less knowing,) leads beyond the pre-destiny of, (a person of whom you have surely never heard - and for which I apologize in making an obscure reference), Hegel, back to a home we have never occupied...
I have a passion for Mozart. Wagner drew much inspiration from me, though I wrote to a porter who had delivered a work of his, "Thank your friend Wagner for me for sending me his Nieblungs, but he should give up his music, he has more genius as a poet!"
