Tremble so wicked...

About Me

Greetings fellow rockabilly, vintage, glamour, pin-up, jivin' swingin' rock n' roll addicts! I am just a rockin' chick who cut her teeth on the tail end of the original NYC punk rock scene. Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers, the Deadboys, and the Ramones influenced my style and taste. Perhaps one day I will post my teenage photo with Stiv Bators. LOL! It is always the music that drives my passion,(my first fave record at the age of 8 was Jerry Lee Lewis doing 'Great Balls of Fire' on the Sun label) and I am an avid collector of all things vintage. My house is a testament to that. I love glamour, pin-up, and dancing. My grandfather was one of 3 survivors on the USS McCawley in WWII. He was a phenomenal dancer, who taught me to jitterbug when I was a little girl.
If you are interested in the days when a wiggle and a wink meant something, drop me a line.I am not here to "friend collect." I am looking to meet up with old friends (which to my great joy, I have) and welcome new people who share my interests. I am not interested in any PERVY emails. (Unless of course they are from perverts that I am friends with. - haha)
Are we clear? Thanks. You should create your own MySpace Layouts like me by using nUCLEArcENTURy .COM's MySpace Profile Editor !

Movies:

I love old B&W film Noir. Television:

I mostly watch movies on TV. I do love Law & Order SVU and Criminal Intent. I'm also guilty of the Sopranos and I loved Six Feet Under. My first favorite was 'I Love Lucy' when I was little. I absolutely adored Desi Arnaz. What hair! What clothes! I remember asking my mother if she would take me to the Tropicana night club for my birthday, as on the show folks went to see Ricky Ricardo at the Tropicana on special occasions. I simply could not accept that the club and my dapper Ricky were not real. I have a dog now named Desi, and I still love Mr. Arnaz. Sigh!

Books:

Too many to list. I love to read. Especially biographies and backstage stories of rock n' roll debauchery. (the stories that I'm *not* involved in, that is - lol) ..

Heroes:

ELVIS, Stiv Bators, Johnny Thunders, Jeanne Carmen, David Bowie, Tana Louise, Dee Dee Ramone, John Waters, Iggy Pop, blah, blah, and blah.Ah, I musn't forget to mention Carl Perkins, who I had the pleasure of meeting once, and who was the lovliest man on Earth. He gave us such great gifts and remained a humble country boy at heart. Bless dear Carl.

But what the HELL do I know?

10 Things that I believe and/or know for sure: 1.) The phrase, "To have a friend you have to *be* a friend" is acurate, but isn't necessarily reciprocal. 2.) I never set out to hurt others. Along the ...

The Return of Rock & Roll

A temperate Saturday evening a few weeks ago marked the end of an era. The Continental Divide (or just the plain ol' 'Divide' for the more mature audience) was about to shut its doors on live music. A...
